Sometimes I don’t have the time or want to put in the effort to make a sauce from scratch. These are the go to sauces we use in our kitchen.
Soy Vay Hoisin Garlic Teriyaki – This sauce gets a lot of use in our house when we grill. We typically will marinade the meat in it and then grill and brush on more sauce. By brushing on more sauce while the meat is on the grill, it gets a sticky glaze like texture. It get’s regular rotation for pork tenderloin, skirt steak, boneless chicken breast and thighs and grilled chicken wings. People can’t get enough of the chicken wings when we make them.
Open Pit BBQ Sauce with Saucy Susan Peach Apricot Sauce – We use a whole jar of the Saucy Susan to 1/2 cup of Open Pit BBQ Sauce, mix them together, we then toss this mixture over grilled bone in skin on chicken parts.
Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauces – Great all around BBQ sauces. I don’t think I have tried one of the flavors I haven’t liked yet.
Herdez Taco Sauces Roja/Verde and Chipotle/Habanero – I really like these taco sauces. I have not tried the habanero yet, because I have a favorite habanero hot sauce next that gets used all the time. These sauces are great on things besides tacos. I regularly use them on eggs, especially egg sandwiches.
Cholula Chipotle Hot Sauce– This is my go to hot sauce for most things. Not too spicy and great taste with a bit of smoke. It is one the ingredient that adds something a little different to my guacamole recipe.
Halesite Habanero Hot Sauce – This is a hot sauce made on Long Island where I live. This is not like any hot sauce I have had before. The texture is not smooth and very liquid like most other hot sauces, this sauce consists of finely minced habanero peppers. The flavor is not overpoweringly hot like other habanero sauces. It has just the right heat with a nice taste.
