I created this rub when I first started smoking food. This works great on pork ribs or butts for pulled pork. While it is great on pork, with some slight modifications it can be great on chicken and beef as well. This is a sugar based rub, if you want to use it on chicken or beef, reduce the amount of brown sugar. Because it is a sugar based rub, it may burn on high temperature cooks.
I normally make a large batch and put it in a shaker bottle to keep handy to use for the future. One batch of this makes almost 2 cups of rub. I typically will double or triple the recipe.
